Stamford Symphony violinist Kathleen Thomson celebrates Women's History Month with a playlist of some of her favorite pieces composed by women. This list includes a piano trio by Germaine Tailleferre, a string quartet by Fanny Mendelssohn (who was Felix Mendelssohn's older sister), the first symphony composed and published by an American woman - Amy Beach and finally, a "bubbly and effervescent" piece by Libby Larsen.
