Orchestra Lumos
– An Ensemble of Possibilities

The French composer and conductor, Pierre Boulez described the modern symphony orchestra as “an ensemble of possibilities,” and the Stamford Symphony strives to be just that for everyone in the Fairfield County community.

Whether our audiences experience two of our musicians in the Half Full Brewery for Symphony on Tap or the whole Orchestra onstage at The Palace Theatre, we believe that both performances are equally authentic musical experiences. And we want to offer everyone who wishes to experience our music in their environment of choice because wherever we play, the reaction is one of astonishment and delight.

The Orchestra’s manager of community engagement and education is constantly seeking ways to connect with Fairfield County’s diverse community and find ways to share our music.

We welcome opportunities to connect and collaborate with many organizations and we particular seek to support the work of local music education groups such as In Tempo, Project Music and the Young Artists Philharmonic.
