In recognition of Black History Month: Florence Price, a forgotten treasure in American music

Florence Price, the first Black woman to have her compositions played by a major American orchestra, also composed many short piano works. Stamford Symphony Principal Pianist Emily Wong here plays three of her compositions: Summer Moon, To A Red Rose, and To A Yellow Rose. Emily also shares some of Price's story, and what she finds inspiring in this music.
