Wynton and All That Jazz

The Palace Theatre, Stamford

Our America 250th birthday begins with a brilliant violin concerto, composed by superstar Wynton Marsalis.

Wynton Marsalis will not be performing – rather, his amazing composition will be performed by the virtuosic, award-winning American violinist, Kelly Hall-Tompkins. Kelly will also thrill us with Fiddler Fantasy, based on Fiddler on the Roof, and composed just for her amazing talent.

A Tale of Two Prodigies

Our first visit to the Darien Arts Center. How Bach and Mozart, two musical prodigies inspired another American prodigy!

Around the World in 80 Minutes

Take your seats for a musical grand tour! From the sounds of old Vienna to the Emerald City, this concert makes no apologies for making you smile.

Two impassioned piano rhapsodies in one concert! Plus masterpieces by Dvořák, whose 1893 transformation of our musical life in New York changed the course of our American musical heritage.

The History of Jazz in 80 Minutes

The Lumos Jazz Trio performs a variety of jazz repertoire spanning jazz history. From Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington to Charlie Parker, Thelonius Monk, Sonny Rollins, Bud Powell, and others, as well as pop classics from The Beatles and Stevie Wonder.

Disney’s Fantasia in Concert

Experience Disney’s groundbreaking marriage of symphonic music and animation, Fantasia. With The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, The Nutcracker Suite and more.
The musical score will be performed live by Orchestra Lumos while Disney’s stunning movie is shown live on the big screen.

American Gems

Original American voices — Aaron Copland, old-world émigré Igor Stravinsky, Scott Joplin and more. They were all inspired by the genius of J.S. Bach!

Dvořák came from the old world to New York, and Gershwin took it from there! Our outstanding string musicians continue the journey at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich.
