Digital Marketing Manager
Introduction
Orchestra Lumos seeks an exceptional digital marketing professional to join the Orchestra at one of the most creative and developmental periods in its history. Following the appointment of Michael Stern as Music Director, the recent rebranding from Stamford Symphony to Orchestra Lumos, and re-opening from the pandemic, Orchestra Lumos is boldly growing to perform across all of Fairfield County, play larger repertoire, and deliver a county-wide community engagement and education program.
The primary accountability of this role is to build our audiences across Fairfield County.
- Location: Stamford, CT. Office-based with flexibility for virtual working
- Type: Regular full-time exempt position with required evening and weekend hours
- Reports To: Director of Audience Engagement
- Salary/Benefits: In the range $45,000-$60,000, plus a 2% contribution to a retirement account, health and dental insurance and life insurance coverage.
- Paid Time Off: The Orchestra offers four weeks of paid vacation in addition to which the office is closed between Christmas and New Year and on Fridays from July 4 to Labor Day. The orchestra recognizes all federal holidays as well. The organization is mindful of ensuring a good work/life balance with great flexibility for personal issues and time off as required.

Job Summary

The Digital Marketing Manager manages digital marketing programs including email, social, website and digital advertising, while supporting offline programs including print collateral, advertising and direct mail. The role will handle creative design in support of all programs

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, hands-on, and an independent self-starter, with competency in digital marketing processes within a performing arts environment
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote concerts, events, and educational programs, and support the Development Department
-
Optimize digital marketing including the website, email, social media, online advertising and listings
-
Design and deploy marketing programs, including digital (website, digital ads, email, e-newsletters, social) and offline content (brochures, flyers, direct mail)

Oversee messaging and content, ensuring brand compliance, audience relevancy, and marketing excellence

Utilize our CRM system (Spektrix) to access marketing segments and lists, track results, and interface with our email technology

Support marketing budget management and vendor relationships for marketing, design and software tools
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree
-
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing, preferably within the performing arts

Demonstrated capability spanning marketing channels from digital to traditional

Experience driving CRM, WordPress sites, email software, digital advertising and social media, and marketing tech and ad tech tools

Demonstrable experience using digital media to drive traffic and conversion results for ticket sales and to expand the brand

Experience with digital design tools, showing work that is functional, engaging, and can represent a dynamic orchestra

Passion for the arts and commitment to the mission of the orchestra

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and hands-on

Results oriented – analytical to evaluate the results of initiatives, ability to manage budgets

Resourceful to think strategically, generate new ideas, prioritize, plan, and get results

Problem-solving skills and ability to meet multiple concurrent deadlines

Ability to work evenings and weekends as required for events and performances
