Location: Stamford, CT, on-site position
Type: Part-Time (20 hours weekly)
Reports to: President and CEO
Salary: $20/hour

ADMINISTRATIVE AND DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT

Context of the Position
The Administrative and Development Assistant’s primary responsibilities are to enable the Chief Executive to manage the organization effectively, with particular emphasis on assistance to the VP of Development. The successful candidate will be a consummate administrative professional with high standards of presentation, attention to details and an ability to multitask.
Principal Responsibilities:
  • Provide operational support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for all administration and development activity
  • Anticipate and meet support requirements for the President and CEO
  • Ensure administrative efficiency in day-to-day operations
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies and monitor office equipment, managing maintenance as needed
  • Manage building maintenance requests
  • Provide administrative support to the Vice President, Development and Finance Director
  • Administration of donor activity including the maintenance of appropriate crediting and generating acknowledgements within 72 hours of gift receipt
  • Execute in-house donor mailings with volunteers
  • Prepare and make bank deposits
  • Keep accurate files for all contracts and agreements
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three years of administrative/development experience
  • Complete fluency with computer applications such as Microsoft Office, including mail-merges, sorting and reporting capabilities
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Friendly and professional demeanor that engenders relationships with donors and colleagues
  • Ability to learn and apply new technical skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and entrepreneurially
