Join Broadway legend Todd Ellison as he takes us on a tour of Broadway for some of the greatest songs ever written for the stage.

Hailed by The New York Times as one of “Broadway’s Electric Conductors,” Todd Ellison is one of the most accomplished and sought after musicians working today.  Join us one night only, as Todd Ellison leads the incomparable Orchestra Lumos along with Broadway stars Nikki Renée Daniels from Hamilton and Lewis Cleale from Book of Mormon.

Todd Ellison conductor

In London’s West End, he was the Music Supervisor/Orchestrator of 42nd Street at the Drury Lane Theatre, supervised and conducted opening night of An American in Paris at the Dominion Theatre, and supervised the Tokyo and Australian productions.

He was the Music Director of the “Radio City Christmas Spectacular” at the famed Radio City Music Hall for several seasons. He had the privilege of being the musical director for Marvin Hamlisch on two of his favorite projects- Ballroom and The Nutty Professor, directed by Jerry Lewis.

For City Center’s Encores! he conducted their acclaimed versions of On The Town and The Bandwagon.

Internationally he has conducted at the Vienna Konzerthaus with Dawn Upshaw and Jerry Hadley, The Dublin Film Orchestra, Radio City Christmas Spectacular (Mexico City), World Science Festival-Lincoln Center, Cole Porters’ Jubilee at Carnegie Hall, the Pittsburgh Symphony, San Diego Symphony, The Philly Pops, Nashville Symphony, Long Beach Symphony, New Haven, New Jersey and York Symphonies, and the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.

He has conducted more than 25 albums including the Grammy Award winning cast albums of his shows. He has accompanied such stars as Beyoncé, Meryl Streep, Mike Nichols, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Hudson, Barry Manilow, Bea Arthur, Jane Lynch, Tracey Ullman, Audra McDonald, Jane Krakowski, Eartha Kitt, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Dawn Upshaw, Jerry Hadley, Billy Porter, Kelsey Grammer and Elaine Stritch.

Over the last 25 years, Todd has given back to his hometown community by producing concerts starring his friends from Broadway and raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities including the Ivoryton Playhouse, Regional District 4, Literacy Volunteers Valley Shores and the Lyme Public Hall. He is a board member of the Marvin Hamlisch International Music Awards, The Community Musical School in Centerbrook, CT, and the Ruth Ann Heller Music Foundation.

Raised on Melody Lane in Essex, Connecticut, Ellison began his piano lessons at age 6 and is a graduate of Boston University School of Music with a degree in piano performance. Todd is proud to be a Steinway Artist.

Nikki Renee Daniels

Nikki is an acclaimed Broadway actress and concert soloist. She recently starred as Angelica Schuyler in the Chicago company of Hamilton, and as Jenny in the Tony Award Winning Broadway revival of Company. Her other Broadway credits include The Book of Mormon (Nabulungi), The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess (Clara) LesMisérables (Fantine), Anything Goes, Promises Promises and Lestat. She recently played Martha Jefferson in 1776 at Encores, and Rose Lennox in The Secret Garden at David Geffen Hall. She made her New York City Opera debut as Clara in Porgy and Bess.  Nikki’s regional credits include Emmie in Caroline or Change at the Guthrie; Sarah in Ragtime at North Shore Music Theater; Belle in Beauty and the Beast at Sacramento Music Circus and Hope in Anything Goes at Williamstown Theater Festival. She has been seen on TV in “Madam Secretary” and “The Sound of Music: Live.” Nikki has performed as a soloist with symphony orchestras in Atlanta, San Francisco, Houston, Detroit, Omaha, Indianapolis, Edmonton, Pittsburgh, Kansas City, and at Carnegie Hall. Nikki has joined the roster of esteemed artists at Broadway Plus.

Lewis Cleale

Lewis Cleale is a performer with many credits. While on Broadway, he performed in Book of Mormon, Sondheim on Sondheim, Spamalot, Amour, Once Upon a Mattress, and Swinging on a Star. His Off Broadway credits include The Fantasticks, A New Brain, Time and Again, and Call Me Madam. His touring productions including Sunset Boulevard, South Pacific, and Mamma Mia! He has also held more than 30 leading Regional roles and his recording credits include Infinite Joy: The Songs of William Finn, Encores From Encores!, Myths and Hymns, Great Musicals, Call Me Madam, Amour, Once Upon a Mattress, and Swinging on a Star. He also voiced Cliff in Frozen.
